4 things you need to do

1. build up your wood and stone

2. build up your town hall

3. build up your build speed ie cottages. speeds of over 1000 are good more is better.

4. don't stop building.

I've got all level 3s for stone and wood. (12 stone, 10 wood) My town hall is level 7. I'm just struggling trying to figure out the best layout. It seems like all the city layouts posted are for specific things or for when you have several cities. I'm just looking to survive long enough to actually learn something...

fore your 1st city best to go fore a farm city ie wood and stone gold iorn and food so you have a good start pont to build new citys.
